The Phuket ladyboy friendly hotels list is divided up in three sections, each covering one of the most popular areas of the island which are Patong, Karon and Kata Beach. Out of the 115 hotels I have contacted only 43 replied favorably on the subject so please bear in mind that not all hotels in Phuket have an open policy that will allow you to bring back ladyboy guests back up to your room. From my experience, the joints owned by foreigners tends to be the ones that are the most discriminatory towards ladyboys. Some do outright refuse while others will smack you with a joiner fee than can costs anywhere from 500 to 2000+ THB a night depending on the hotel. I have personally taken the time to contact each and every single one of them to make sure of that their Ladyboy guest friendly policy is still in effect and have added with each hotel description the management’s policy reply on the subject.

But just what is a ladyboy friendly hotel?
A hotel that is considered ladyboy friendly simply means that the hotel will not charge extra for taking back a ladyboy guest to your room. So if you unknowingly book a non-guest friendly hotel and plan on taking a guest back up to your room every night for a week then you’re going to be paying a lot more money unnecessarily. I’ve taken the trouble of making a list of which ones are ok, and allow whoever you want to accompany you to your room. This is by no means an indication of their respectability as each hotel has different policies as long as you’re discreet.
Where can I meet ladyboys in Phuket?
PATONG
Ladyboys have become quite the tourist attraction in Patong. On Bangla Road, you can see them at the entrance to Soi Crocodile, which is often referred to as Soi Ladyboy where many tourists come to have a drink at one of the many beer bars and watch ladyboys dance on tables. There are also a couple of ladyboy bars and cabarets at the back of Soi Crocodile and in the gay area of Patong named Soi Paradise.
Street action
Lots of ladyboys roam the streets late at night after the bars closes and little or no effort is needed to make contact with them they will usually come to you. Between Bangla Road and Beach Road is your best bet to find them hanging around.
Ladyboy Bars
- Soi Crocodile: This soi has around twenty or so beer bars and feature a small dance floor at the Bangla road intersection where ladyboys dance around.
- Cocktails & Dreams: Bar has a laid back atmosphere and the drinks are reasonably priced, they also have a free caberet show twice a night.
- Tootsies: Beer bar with a massage parlor across the street (opened daytime).
Discos
- New Tiger Disco: Can’t miss it on bangla road, this imposing complex covers some 5000 sqm spread over 3 floors (disco is on the 2nd).
- Tai Pan Nightclub: located at the end bangla road, this disco has no entrance fee and doesn’t hassle you to drink neither so it’s possible just to go in and have a look and feel the mood of the place.
KARON
Karon is definitely not Patong for it’s nightlife, but you might find a limited selection of Ladyboys in a few bars.
- Bangla Plaza: A Soi lined up with a collection of small sized bars made mostly of girlie and ladyboy venues. Your best bet to find any action ladyboys in Karon.
KATA
Ladyboy bars scene is even smaller in Kata if not nonexistent. The proximity of Karon’s Bangla Plaza is your best bet if you can’t find anything at Kata corner’s collection of beer bars.
- Kata Corner: A group of girlie bars can be found near the Kata Corner where you just might find a few ladyboys in the mix.
